Elevation Perspective

A shaded relief perspective of the digital elevation model (DEM) data of the region using Mathematica reading 4-km data. The region spans an elevation from sea level to almost 3,000 meters and that there is considerable variation not only in elevation but also in local relief. The features of the SanSac region--in particular the Coast and Sierra Ranges and the Great Central Valley--are shown.
