Inventory Check Report/Coverage Plot

K. Boettcher, J. Powell, M. Sarges, G. Kluck

Input/Output check.

For all received tapes, multiple ingest attempts are done for each media type (8mm, 4mm, 3480, 9-track) that has initial ingest problems. The team's ingest procedures verify coordinate accuracy, satellite direction, correlate with Day/Night flags, correctly determine browse bands (band 2 for day, band 4 for night), acquisition date and time accuracy in the scene id, and that the facsimile header data matches the data base records.

Data Management evaluates data base records for each receiving station to monitor any potential data gaps in what was sent to EDC versus what we predicted they could have received. This monitoring occurs on a daily basis. Plots and reports depicting station activity are given to the project manager or to ISM for rectification through formal channels.

Management reporting.

Data Management provides reports and charts showing the number of acquisitions received for a given period and the number of missed acquisitions for specific periods.

Data Management distributes reports and plots showing any 1 km data base discrepancies that are found and makes those available to project management in a timely fashion.

Coverage plots using Date Management methodology.

Data Management currently can plot scene footprints based upon the satellite number, acquisition date, receiving method, receiving station, day/night indicators, or ascending/descending parameters.
